Room notes stay local unless you share them
The room-note tool constructs plain text in your browser. Its JavaScript does not transmit form entries to us, submit them to a server, or place them in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Preparing a draft is not a request for a reply.
Copying writes the draft to your device’s clipboard when supported and permitted. Other software or clipboard-sync services on your device may have access under their own settings. Downloading creates a text file on your device. You control where that file is stored and whether it is shared. Your browser may also retain or restore form values under its own settings; the site does not control that behavior.
Information sent by email
If you separately email us, your address, message and any attachments are transmitted through email providers and become correspondence we can receive. We use that information to consider your question, respond where appropriate, address corrections, and manage related security or legal matters. Please do not send home security details, identity documents, financial account information or unnecessary sensitive information.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, correspondence may be handled for legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website, responding to requests, or meeting legal obligations. Applicable rights and the relevant basis depend on the circumstances and jurisdiction.
Technical requests and service providers
Opening a web page sends technical requests to the hosting infrastructure. These requests can expose an IP address, requested URL, browser information and timestamps to the infrastructure operator. Hosting or security systems may create logs for delivery, diagnostics and abuse prevention. The page code does not add analytics, advertising pixels or third-party embedded content.
Hosting and email providers may process technical or correspondence data as necessary to supply their services. We do not sell personal information through this website. Retention and security
Local drafts are not retained in a site database. For information received separately, retention should be limited to the period reasonably needed for the correspondence, security, legal obligations or dispute handling. There is no single retention period that applies to every message. Ask us about a particular item if you need clarification.
No internet transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Avoid including details that are not needed for your question. Delete downloaded notes and clipboard contents when they are no longer useful.

You may also have a right to complain to your local data protection authority.
